Your Body is Smarter Than You Think (And She’s Been Trying to Tell You Things)
You know that feeling when you’re trying to carry the groceries, your toddler, your anxiety about being a good human, and also your entire to-do list — all at once?
And your shoulders are basically up around your ears, and your jaw could probably crush a walnut?
Yeah. That’s your body waving a little red flag.
Actually, scratch that — she’s been waving that flag for a while now. You just might’ve been too busy to see it.
Here’s the thing:
Your body is full of wisdom.
She’s been whispering (or yelling) at you for years — through tension, headaches, exhaustion, or that weird pit in your stomach when something’s off.
She’s not dramatic. She’s just honest.
And if we’d stop and listen… we might just catch the early warning signs before they turn into full-blown meltdowns or shutdowns or, you know, snapping at your kid because their sock is slightly crooked. (Just me? Okay.)
Try this with me:
Take a few minutes today and gently scan your body — head to toe.
No judgment. No fixing. Just noticing.
What’s tight? What’s tired? What’s clenching that doesn’t need to be?
Even that simple act — of tuning in — builds body awareness.
And body awareness? It’s like your own personal emotional GPS.
When you know where you are, it’s a whole lot easier to figure out where you need to go next.
Want to practice this kind of listening in a safe, supportive space?
This summer, I’m leading Group Consulting — and I’d love for you to join.
It’s two Zoom calls per month, $100/month, and just 10 people per group.
We slow down. We tune in. We laugh. We cry (sometimes). And we get honest about what’s going on under the surface — in our hearts and in our bodies.
If you’re longing to feel more grounded, more seen, and a little less “why am I carrying everything and still forgetting the one thing I needed?”…
This is your space.
